Job description

Gunstock Mountain Resort is now accepting applications for Compressor Operators to join our Snowmaking team. Compressor Operators monitor and control the computerized process control systems for Gunstock's snowmaking operations. Must be able to effectively operate 13 vertical turbine pumps and 2 air compressors, powered by large horsepower electric motors; communicate continuously with snowmakers to ensure maximum snowmaking efficiency. May also assist with the maintenance of pipe and valve systems as needed. Position is scheduled to start around November 1st.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older with high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have current valid driver's license.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to anticipate and react appropriately to changing weather conditions and production needs.
  • Basic working knowledge of snowmaking systems required.
  • Prior experience with mechanical repairs and troubleshooting preferred.
