Job description

As part of the Oracle Application Cloud Team this role is responsible for reviewing and
potentially reconfiguring the security for Oracle Applications Cloud to ensure that
Oracle Applications Cloud environments are configured properly, and the environment
is secure, compliant, and resilient to potential cyber threats. The ideal candidate would
be extremely well versed in Oracle security, understands role-based access controls, as
well as Segregation of Duties and can perform the necessary analysis and produce
supporting documents to comply with audit requests.
 
Activities:
• Ability to demonstrate to auditors that Role-Based Access Controls are in place
and help identify and close any potential gaps.
• Generate report illustrating when a user was added, and the roles granted by
user.
• Generate report indicating the date any roles were added or removed from a user
account.
• Generate report indicating any changes to the roles or authorizations.
• Provide Segregation of Duties (SOD) analysis by comparing roles to see if there
are any SOD conflicts.
 
Required Expertise:
• Reviewing user roles and privileges using RBAC principles and assess if any
changes need to be made.
• Assessing if the current security model is appropriate or needs to be changed
including security hierarchies and segregation of duties (SoD).
• Appling security best practices to control access to sensitive information based
on roles and hierarchies.
• Reviewing and assessing current user provisioning, Single Sign-On (SSO), and
integration with Identity Management systems and making any necessary
changes to improve performance.
• Creating, modifying, and deactivating user accounts within the Oracle Cloud
environment.
• Ensuring Oracle Applications Cloud meets regulatory and industry standards
(e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA).
• Setting up audit trails to track system and user activities for compliance and
forensic purposes.
• Conducting periodic access reviews and ensure compliance with SoD policies to
prevent fraud and unauthorized access.
• Generating and reviewing reports on security incidents, user access, and role
changes for internal and external audits.
 
Qualifications
Education and Specialized Work Experience:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Security Administrator.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience administrating Oracle Applications Cloud.
• 3+ years architecting security in Oracle Applications Cloud.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle security including role-based access controls, as well
as Segregation of Duties (SoD).
• Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO), and integration with Identity Management
systems.
• Relevant Oracle certifications are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
