Job description

Company Description
TrustRadius (www.trustradius.com) is a website which helps business software buyers make smart, confident decisions, through sharing insights from real software users. Think TripAdvisor or Yelp for business software. TrustRadius is led by a successful management team with a track record of growing companies from zero to IPO. We are driven and competitive, but also believe in work-life balance and a collaborative team culture. We were ranked as the fastest growing Series A funded start-up in Austin.
Job Description
The Research team at TrustRadius is responsible for ensuring that we cover the right products, ask the right questions of reviewers, and turn important user insights and ratings into helpful sector analysis and tools for buyers. The Research team is also heavily involved in thought leadership.
Primary responsibilities of the Research Associate are:
1) Develop our taxonomy
We want to become the definitive destination for business software research. The associate will thoroughly research software categories (e.g., business intelligence or enterprise resource planning) to identify products to include, ensure that products are correctly classified, and write clear and helpful product and category descriptions.
2) Develop customized questions by software category
We ask questions of reviewers to elicit in-depth insights about products. In particular, we ask them to rate products on different feature attributes. The research associate will be responsible for researching and defining the right set of feature attributes for each product category.
3) Contribute analysis and content for long-form reports
Working alongside other members of our Research team, the associate will contribute sections to our long-form Buyer's Guides and help produce other reports that aide buyers in their decision making process.
4) Write short articles
To support our thought leadership efforts, part of this role will be to write short articles about categories, trends, and products, leveraging insights from reviews and our buyer's guides.
5) Help with review quality control
We screen every review before it's published. You will be expected to pitch in to help process reviews when volumes peak.
Qualifications
We're looking for a smart self-starter who enjoys technology (a geek at heart) and is a strong writer. Candidates should also be enthusiastic about working in a fast paced start-up environment and a dynamic team. Candidates should be obsessive about quality and enjoy interacting with our community of members.
Requirements:
1. A 4-year university degree with a good GPA.
2. Relevant work experience demonstrating research capabilities a plus.
3. Strong writing skills.
