Job description

StretchLab El Segundo is seeking Personal Trainers, Athletic Trainers, Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructors, Dancers, Physical Therapist Assistants, and Corrective Exercise Specialists to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity to gain experience in a new modality that is taking the health and wellness industry to a new level. 

As a Flexologist you would provide one-on-one assisted stretches for our clients. We are the industry leaders in one-on-one assisted stretching and have created a variety of offerings to empower clients to "Live Long". StretchLab prides itself on having the finest team of stretching professionals, and our proprietary Flexologist Training Program (FTP) is recognized by various accredited Fitness Associations ensuring that our clients receive a world class stretching experience. Our clientele ranges through all demographics such as athletes, youth athletes, entrepreneurs, retired persons, high profile celebs and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions 
  • Educate clients on stretching techniques and mobility 
  • Create customized stretching experience for clients 
  • Help create a unique StretchLab experience helping build memberships and retention 
  • Ensure safety of clients in regards to proper stretching techniques and enforce StretchLab Policies and safety regulations 
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and complete continuing education 
  • Help clean and maintain the studio environment and equipment in order to ensure it is available for client use at any given time 

Qualifications: 

Certification and/or degree from a nationally accredited organization in one or more of the following fields: 

  • Personal Trainer, Athletic Trainer, or Sports Performance Coach 
  • Massage Therapist 
  • Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Aide 
  • Yoga Instructor
  • Pilates Instructor 
  • Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Corrective Exercise, etc. 

*Exceptions can be made for former collegiate and professional athletes with a strong understanding of Anatomy 

Required Characteristics: 

  • Must have a professional work ethics, be reliable and adhere to our strict punctuality policies
  • Positive energy, enthusiasm and attitude
  • Ability to create a welcoming environment for all people
  • Fantastic communication skills and exudes empathy and compassion
  • Must love connecting with people and have passion for helping others achieve goals 
  • MUST be team oriented ("we, not me") 

Availability: 

Shifts are generally 6 hours each and must be open to working some weekends
