Job description

Customer Service Engineer


SCOPE:

Is responsible to assist in installation and repair of equipment. Ability to communicate basic press principles, assist with repairs, accept direction, and complete required reports. Traveling required.

EDUCATION:

Associates Degree in a technical field or vocational degree with equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

New hire or contract associate with one to four years’ experience in metal forming equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.

Knowledge of hand tools and measuring devices essential for the completion of installation and repair of equipment.


JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assist in installation and repair of AIDA equipment.

Assist in site inspections and surveys at customer sites.

Ability to communicate basic electrical and mechanical principles to Engineers and customers.

Perform in-house repairs and rebuilds of mechanical components and subassemblies.

Complete required reports to document activity.

Ability to travel up to 80% of compensated time.

Expense reports, time sheets and work orders must be submitted per department policy and in accordance with the Associate Handbook.
