Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Process Controls Engineer to work in our Canonsburg, PA office. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Process Controls Engineer will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.
The ideal candidate will have excellent math skills, applied creativity, mechanical skills, problem-solving skills, be team-oriented, customer service-driven, and have attention to detail.
Job Description:
  • Develops control system philosophies for water and wastewater projects.
  • Develops Control Philosophy narratives, Sequence of Operation Charts, and Alarm/Set Point Lists related to system designs.
  • Develops Operations & Maintenance Manuals related to system equipment processes.
  • Must be proficient in reading and understanding Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's).
  • The successful candidate must possess computer skills using MS Word, Outlook, and Excel (PowerPoint plus).
  • In addition, future responsibilities will include conducting classroom training at customer sites in the operation of AIC systems.

Skill Requirements:
• Ability to think and work independently to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills, along with excellent writing skills.
• Must be proficient in reading and understanding (P&ID's) for water and wastewater projects.
• Ability to plan and manage assigned projects.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to use personal computer (MS Word & Excel) to develop designs, spreadsheets, and author system narratives at a high level of proficiency.
• (Future) Ability to prepare and present AIC system design concepts in classroom settings.
• Proficient in the use of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access.
