Job description

Construction Manager - Solar

Metric DCX is supporting a high-growth AI infrastructure business that is building power and data center infrastructure at significant scale.

We’re looking for a Solar Construction Manager to join the Delivery team and own day-to-day site execution across utility-scale solar and BESS projects, from mobilization through energization.

To be considered, you must have construction management experience in at least one of the following:

  • Utility-scale solar
  • Solar + storage / BESS
  • High-voltage substation construction

The Role

You’ll work directly with EPC contractors, civil crews, electrical trades and equipment vendors to deliver projects safely, on schedule and on budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead day-to-day site execution across utility-scale solar and BESS projects
  • Build and drive integrated schedules across civil, structural, PV, BESS, substation and gen-tie scopes
  • Manage critical-path activities and develop recovery plans when schedules slip
  • Coordinate civil, racking, PV, inverter, BESS and MV/HV electrical trades
  • Enforce site safety requirements and subcontractor compliance
  • Manage QA/QC, RFIs, submittals and change orders through closeout
  • Track progress, cost-to-complete and resource requirements
  • Identify procurement risks around long-lead equipment including transformers, switchgear and inverters

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience coordinating civil, electrical, PV and BESS scopes
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Strong field execution and subcontractor management experience
  • Ability to identify schedule, procurement and interconnection risks early
  • Strong safety leadership and experience executing site safety plans

Bonus: Utility-scale BESS, substation/gen-tie construction, multi-site delivery or OSHA 30.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation + equity
  • Retirement/pension plan
  • Health, dental and vision insurance
  • Health, dental and vision coverage
  • Generous PTO

This is an opportunity to join a team building gigawatt-scale energy infrastructure for AI, with a focus on speed, ownership and creating a more repeatable approach to utility-scale construction.

Equal Opportunity

Metric DCX is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
