Job description

Role Description
The Partner GTM organization within AWS is seeking a Partner Programs Strategy Lead to architect, scale, and orchestrate the end-to-end partner journey for Data & AI across AWS. This role is central to designing the strategic frameworks, programs, and resources that enable partner success throughout their Data & AI journey with AWS. You will be responsible for identifying gaps in the current partner experience, securing cross-organizational investments, and building scalable mechanisms that drive awareness and adoption of the partner journey through both direct partner engagement and field enablement.
This is a highly strategic role requiring exceptional program design capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to orchestrate complex initiatives across multiple AWS organizations including Partner Core, field teams, and product groups

You'll serve as the architect of the partner journey, ensuring we have the right programs and resources in place-whether self-managed by our team or delivered through partnerships with other AWS initiatives-to support our preferred partners' success in Data & AI.
A critical component of this role is creating and executing a comprehensive scaling and adoption plan that reaches partners through multiple channels: direct partner engagement, PDM (Partner Development Manager) and PDS (Partner Development Specialist) enablement, regional team coordination, and innovative GenAI tools and interfaces that streamline partner access to journey resources. Additionally, you will be the external face of AWS Data & AI partner programs, serving as a thought leader who continuously refines our approach based on market research, customer insights, and partner feedback.
Key job responsibilities
Partner Journey Strategy & Continuous Innovation
Own and continuously evolve the end-to-end Data & AI partner journey framework, building on the existing foundation to ensure it remains relevant and competitive
Conduct systematic gap analysis of current partner programs and experiences to identify improvement opportunities
Synthesize partner feedback, market research, and customer insights to inform journey evolution and influence team priorities and strategies
Maintain a big-picture view on health of partner investments and support across the journey, identifying where additional resources or program changes are needed
Create measurement frameworks to track partner progression and program effectiveness
Thought Leadership & External Brand
Serve as the external face and voice of AWS Data & AI partner programs at industry events, partner conferences, and executive forums
Collaborate with market research teams to ensure partner journey design reflects current customer needs, partner capabilities, and market dynamics
Publish thought leadership content that articulates the value of the Data & AI partner journey and showcases partner success stories
Build AWS's reputation as a thought leader in Data & AI partner ecosystem development
Program Orchestration & Investment Securing
Identify and secure the right mix of self-managed programs and cross-AWS initiatives to support the partner journey
Develop compelling business cases to secure budget allocations and organizational capacity commitments for priority partner programs
Build strong partnerships with AWS Partner Core, field organizations, and product teams to leverage existing programs and resources
Design governance models and operating mechanisms to ensure cohesive program delivery across multiple teams
Awareness & Adoption Scaling
Build scalable mechanisms to drive awareness of the Data & AI partner journey directly to partners and through PDM/PDS enablement
Create standardized messaging, playbooks, and toolkits that can be leveraged across field teams
Establish feedback loops with partners and field teams to continuously improve the journey experience
Design and implement innovative GenAI tools and interfaces that streamline partner access to journey resources and enable self-service adoption
Coordinate with regional teams to ensure localized execution of the scaling and adoption plan
Strategic Planning & Team Coordination
Support yearly operational and quarterly planning cycles by providing strategic input on partner journey priorities and resource needs
Facilitate team coordination activities to ensure alignment on partner programs strategy
Establish reporting mechanisms to track progress against partner journey metrics and team objectives
