Senior AI Engineer

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will utilize your advanced professional expertise and experience to enhance and maintain the software products developed by our client, a wealth management technology company. You will operate as an AI-native engineer, having fully integrated AI tools and workflows into how you think, build, and ship — treating AI as a core force multiplier rather than an optional add-on. In this role, you'll get to:

  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team, modeling curiosity and adaptability in the face of new challenges and technologies
  • Develop and maintain high impact product features
  • Create and design solutions for new features, subsystems, modules, systems, or platforms that may be specific or cross-cutting in nature
  • Guide fellow team members in the code review process
  • Guide and provide clarity for fellow team members in delivering quality solutions
  • Ensure application quality by testing integrated features as well as writing test automation where appropriate
  • Ensure application safety by following secure coding best practices
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix product defects
  • Maintain a deep and intrinsic understanding of business use cases and objectives
  • Actively maintain a self-paced learning regimen to feed professional curiosity, with particular attention to the rapidly evolving AI tooling and capabilities landscape
  • Leverage AI tools and workflows throughout the development process — from ideation and architecture exploration to coding, debugging, testing, and code review — to accelerate delivery and improve quality
  • Evaluate and introduce emerging AI-powered tools and practices to the team, helping establish shared standards for effective AI-assisted development
  • Utilize source control to effectively manage delivery of work
  • Understand and operate the full lifecycle of the software platform, from coding to delivery and observation in production
  • Learn and adhere to team and company processes, standards, and procedures
  • Actively develop and maintain working relationships with team and department members
  • Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Has mastery of C#/.NET ecosystem
  • Has strong understanding of browser capabilities, web performance, and front-end architecture
  • Has advanced SQL and relational database expertise
  • Has knowledge of data lakes and distributed data pipeline technologies
  • Has experience with AWS Bedrock and building out MCP systems
  • Has expertise across AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, SQS, SNS, SES, EventBridge, S3, RDS, Bedrock)
  • Has strong understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, cryptography, and security protocols
  • Has mastery of git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, IaC best practices, and SDLC processes
  • Has broad architectural pattern knowledge (DDD, CQRS, SOLID, event-driven patterns)
  • Has exceptional debugging and problem-solving skills across the full stack
  • Tackles high-impact, highly ambiguous problems with no blueprint
  • Defines technical frameworks, patterns, and decision structures for other engineers to follow
  • Solutions directly influence the organization's long-term scalability, reliability, and competitive advantage
  • Builds influence networks across teams and guides engineering direction at scale
  • Operates with full independence on new, critical, or technically undefined initiatives
  • May indirectly lead engineers or project teams through influence and technical direction
  • Determines architecture, technical strategies, and methods for complex initiatives
  • Has a minimum of 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience
