Talent Partner
Cordova — Omaha, NE
Cordova is a custom software development, executive, and IT staffing firm based in Omaha, NE. We're an office-first culture of entrepreneurs looking for like-minded go-getters who don't wait for opportunity to come to them.
As a member of Cordova, the Talent Partner will build and extend candidate relationships through excellence in recruitment process delivery — including sourcing, screening, assessing, and submissions. This is a hunter role first: the best Talent Partners here pick up the phone, make the cold call, and build pipeline before a client ever asks for it. High-touch candidate relationship management and customer responsiveness matter, but they come after the hustle of finding the talent in the first place. The Talent Partner is the subject matter expert on applicant tracking systems, candidate sourcing methodologies, and recruitment process effectiveness.
Key Accountabilities
- Cold Calling & Outbound Prospecting: Own a high volume of daily outbound calls and proactive outreach to build a pipeline of passive and active candidates ahead of client need. This is not a lead-response role — you're expected to hunt.
- Sourcing: Go beyond job boards — use social media, referrals, networking, and Boolean search to identify qualified candidates others aren't finding.
- Objection Handling & Persistence: Treat rejection as part of the job. Follow up, work the phone, and close candidates who weren't initially looking.
- Screening: Review resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet the qualifications for open positions.
- Interviewing: Conduct phone, video, and in-person interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Assessment: Administer assessments and tests as needed to evaluate candidates' abilities and qualifications.
- Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with candidates and hiring managers to ensure a positive recruiting experience.
- Cordova Brand Ambassador: Represent the Cordova culture and brand as someone who thrives on the hunt, not just the process.
Preferred but Not Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience in Technology, Sales, or Executive markets.
- 1+ years of experience conducting competency/behavioral-based interviews.
- 1+ years of Applicant Tracking System experience.
- 1+ years of experience developing and executing sourcing methodologies, including market mapping, recruitment strategies, and Boolean searches.
- Demonstrated comfort with high-volume cold calling and outbound prospecting — sales, recruiting, or BD background where you were measured on dials and outreach, not just inbound conversion.
- Experience recruiting in the Technology, Sales, and Executive market.
