To thrive as an AI Ethics and Human Rights Specialist, you need a strong background in ethics, law, technology, and human rights, often supported by degrees in philosophy, law, computer science, or related fields. Familiarity with AI systems, data privacy tools, regulatory frameworks, and certifications in ethical AI or data protection (such as CIPP or similar) is highly valuable. These skills are crucial for ensuring that AI technologies are developed and deployed in ways that respect human rights, promote fairness, and build public trust.
