JOB SUMMARY

The job maintains a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff at AHN hospitals and clinics. The incumbent enforces AHN policies and procedures while patrolling the facilities, grounds and other areas. Responds to all emergency situations throughout assigned AHN facilities and investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on premises. This will include responding to and resolving disputes, removing unwanted, unauthorized or disruptive individuals from AHN property and executing lawful arrests if necessary. Provides excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff during all interactions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct proactive motor vehicle and foot patrols of AHN property and adjacent areas.
  • Respond to all emergency situations throughout AHN hospitals; utilizing de-escalation techniques when required as well as restraining combative or disturbed patients.
  • Testify in court and hearings when involved in arrest situations.
  • Assist with traffic control when necessary
  • Complete reports and incident documentation as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
