The Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Surgery Institute is actively seeking a skilled and motivated General Surgeon to join our growing and collaborative team in Pittsburgh, PA. This position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered surgical care within a dynamic and innovative healthcare system.

This role is designed for a surgeon interested in a broad-based general surgery practice, including both elective and acute care surgery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient safety and outcomes, and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment. Opportunities exist to develop subspecialty interests aligned with programmatic growth and community needs.

This position is primarily based at one of AHN's hospitals in the greater Pittsburgh region, with access to advanced surgical technologies, including minimally invasive and robotic platforms. The selected candidate will work closely with a team of surgeons, Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs), and support staff to deliver comprehensive surgical care. Participation in call coverage, quality initiatives, and potential teaching opportunities with medical students and residents is expected.

Job Qualifications

MD or DO Degree.

Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program.

Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery.

Pennsylvania medical licensure in good standing prior to hire.

Interest in a broad scope of general surgery including minimally invasive techniques.

Robotic surgery experience preferred but not required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
