Job Summary
The College is seeking qualified Adjunct AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructors to provide instruction on an as-needed basis. This position supports workforce development and community training initiatives by delivering high-quality BLS courses in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver AHA BLS Provider courses in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Facilitate skills practice, testing, and written evaluations
  • Maintain accurate course records and submit required documentation in a timely manner. Ensure proper setup, use, and maintenance of instructional equipment
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of current American Heart Association BLS standards and course requirements
  • Strong instructional and communication skills
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Education and Experience
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor certification in good standing
  • Certification preferably aligned with South Regional AHEC, or willingness to complete secondary alignment
