Job description

What You'll be Doing:

  • Cleans assigned school facilities (e.g. classrooms, offices, restrooms, gym, locker rooms, hallways, cafeteria, lobby, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
  • Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns (e.g. facility damage, injured and ill students, alarms, etc.) for the purpose of taking appropriate action to resolve immediate safety issues and maintaining a functioning educational environment.
  • Assists in coordinating facility usage (e.g. rentals, community groups, dances, sporting events, etc.) for the purpose of providing custodial coverage to facility.
  • Arranges furnishings and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparations for meetings, classroom activities, and special events.
  • Secures facilities and grounds (e.g. lights out, doors locked, check for cleanliness in/outside your area, remove all trash, etc.) for the purpose of minimizing property damage, equipment loss and potential liability to organization.


What We Offer:

  • Salary: $24.69 - $27.59 per hour (depending on experience)


Job Details: 

  • Working days: 5 days per week
  • Hours per day: 8 hours
  • Night Custodian, Shift Hours: 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 75% walking, and 20% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
