A well-established regional law firm with more than 120 attorneys is seeking an experienced Food & Agribusiness Attorney to join its growing practice in Reading, Pennsylvania.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong interest in the food and agricultural industries who wants to advise sophisticated clients on a mix of commercial, regulatory, transactional, and risk-management matters.
The Practice
The attorney will advise food, agricultural, manufacturing, distribution, and related businesses on a broad range of legal and operational issues, including:
Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
Supply, distribution, vendor, and service agreements
Regulatory compliance and permitting
Risk assessment and risk-management counseling
Advising on federal, state, and international regulatory frameworks
FDA regulatory matters
USDA laws, regulations, and policies
Product, labeling, manufacturing, and distribution issues
Food safety and compliance matters
Agricultural business operations
Strategic business counseling
Regulatory developments affecting food and agribusiness clients
Cross-border and international regulatory considerations
Working directly with clients on day-to-day legal and business issues

Ideal Background
5–8+ years of legal practice
Demonstrated experience or strong interest in food, agriculture, agribusiness, or related regulated industries
Experience advising sophisticated business clients
Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills
Experience with regulatory compliance, permitting, or administrative matters
Familiarity with FDA and/or USDA regulatory frameworks strongly preferred
Ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business guidance
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent client communication and relationship-management skills
Business-minded and proactive approach to counseling
Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters
J.D. from an accredited law school
Pennsylvania Bar admission or eligibility to become admitted
