Job description

Cabot Creamery has held B Corp certification since 2012, and became the world's first dairy co-op to do so. This certification demonstrates our commitment to transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.
Agri-Mark/Cabot Creamery has a full-time opening for a Laboratory Technician. 10-hour shifts between hours of 4a-5p. Flexible work schedule required, including rotating weekends, and working scheduled holidays. Pay rate starts at $26.15/hour.
Responsibilities include:
  • Perform laboratory tests on milk, finished cheese and whey products, environmental samples, and ingredients in a timely and accurate manner to assure that Agri-Mark quality standards are met.
  • Must become certified by the State of Vermont to perform all testing associated with the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (after training!)
  • Input of all analytical data into various software, as well as running reports and creating charts/graphs. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite are beneficial.
  • Time management skills are a must.

We are seeking an individual who possesses strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively multi-task and meet project deadlines. Must have mature judgment abilities as well as the ability to mentor other Lab Technicians, work flexibility is a must, HS diploma or GED.
