Student Nutrition Assistant
Prairie Ridge Elementary School
2026-2027 School Year
Shift Hours: 7.5 hours per day, 6:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Position Function (include but are not limited to the following): Prepares foods from recipes or instructions, cleans, and properly stores equipment. Observes health and sanitation regulations. Attend the Food Safety Basics Class as required. Receives, unpacks, stores and rotates food and supply stocks. Serves food to students and staff. Washes, and sanitizes dishes, serving areas, coolers, preparation surfaces and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Student Nutrition Kitchen Manager.
Working Conditions: Able to work harmoniously with others. Requires standing for long periods of time. Must pass standardized strength & agility testing requiring lifting up to 50 pounds. Completion of Food Basics Safety Class within 2 months of hire. Maintains high standards of sanitation and personal cleanliness. Have reliable references Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Starting Salary: $15.60/hour - commensurate with experience

Requirements:
-All employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
-Must pass standardized strength & agility testing requiring lifting up to 50 pounds.
-Must submit pre employment physical prior to first day of work
