What is an agile delivery director?

An Agile Delivery Director is a senior leader responsible for overseeing the delivery of products or projects using Agile methodologies. They ensure teams follow Agile principles, remove obstacles, and foster continuous improvement to deliver high-quality results efficiently. This role typically involves managing multiple teams, aligning delivery with business goals, and communicating progress to stakeholders. Agile Delivery Directors also coach teams and leaders on best practices and help shape the organization's Agile strategy.

How does an agile delivery director typically interact with cross-functional teams to ensure project success?

An Agile Delivery Director plays a pivotal role in facilitating communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, such as product owners, scrum masters, developers, and business stakeholders. They often coordinate regular meetings, remove impediments, and align team efforts with organizational goals to drive project delivery. By fostering an environment of transparency and continuous improvement, the Agile Delivery Director ensures that teams adhere to Agile principles and deliver high-quality products on time.
