Job description

Reports To: Vice President of Operations

Department: Maryland Sales / Branch Operations

ASGCOis a leading manufacturer and supplier of conveyor and material-handling products and services for the aggregate, mining, cement, recycling, bulk shipping, and other heavy industries

We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Assistant Branch Manager / Inside Sales Representative to join our Maryland team.

This position combines inside sales, customer service, and branch operations. You will work closely with the Branch Manager, outside sales team, service personnel, warehouse, and customers to keep the branch running efficiently and help grow sales.

The right candidate is organized, dependable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working directly with customers in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Inside Sales & Customer Service
  • Respond to customer questions about ASGCOproducts, pricing, availability, and delivery.
  • Prepare accurate quotes for conveyor components, belting, accessories, and services.
  • Enter and process customer orders.
  • Follow up on quotes, open orders, backorders, and sales opportunities.
  • Help customers select the right products for their applications.
  • Support outside sales representatives with quotes, pricing, product information, and order status.
  • Identify opportunities to sell additional ASGCOproducts and services.
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Build strong relationships that generate repeat business.
Branch Operations
  • Assist the Branch Manager with day-to-day branch operations.
  • Help coordinate priorities between sales, service, warehouse, fabrication, and administrative personnel.
  • Provide leadership and direction when the Branch Manager is unavailable.
  • Assist with UPS and or other shipments and deliveries as needed.
  • Monitor open orders and help ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Assist with employee scheduling and daily work priorities.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient branch
Inventory & Order Management
  • Monitor inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Coordinate product needs with purchasing, manufacturing, distribution, and other ASGCOlocations.
  • Identify potential problems with open orders and backorders before they affect the customer.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and customer pickups as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of inside sales, industrial sales, customer service, or branch operations experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and an interest in industrial equipment.
  • Ability to prepare accurate quotes and process orders with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and ERP, CRM, or order-entry systems.
  • Conveyor, aggregate, mining, cement, manufacturing, or industrial distribution experience is a plus.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.
