Quinn Records TM wants to hire a in-house music booking agent who responsiblity will be to find and secure performances for Quinn Records TM's artists/bands. The booking agent should be skilled at matching Company artists/bands with appropriate venues and audiences, ultimately helping increase artists/bands' exposure within the music industry. The in-house music booking agent will work closely with Quinn artists/ band to help members strategize about reaching their career goals.
Alternately, the in-house music booking agent will work with performance venue, corporation, government agencies and booking agency. Primary responsibilities include selecting musical artists to perform at certain venues and negotiating details pertaining to those performances. The in-house booking agent will respond to customer inquiries, pertaining to booking a Quinn artist/musical artist for a private event.
A background in sales and marketing will be helpful.
Duties
The in-house music booking agent will be working for Quinn Records TM's musical performers and groups and will spends time searching for gigs and negotiates details, such as what time performances will take place and how much money performers will make, with the venue. Using e-mail and a phone, the in-house music booking agent will maintain communication with many parties. He or she negotiates contracts, payment and other crucial information with managers,music buyers and other agents working with a Quinn Records TM's given musical act. Key traits are good communication skills and an ability to maintain contacts within the music industry. The in-house music booking agent will be responsible for promoting a Quinn Records TM musical group before its scheduled performance.
Additional responsibilities include providing quotes to clients and negotiating the final price of services covered. In addition to securing a Quinn Records TM's artist's performance, music booking agents will handle the production of an event, including arranging for transportation, hotels, lighting and concert equipment. The in-house music booking agent will work with other companies, such as event planning services or large corporations.
The in-house music booking agent will arrange artist interview requests or television appearances.
