Job description

Summary

Join our team as a Staff Product Manager for Agent Platform, where you'll define what it means to build and run AI agents on the most durable execution platform in the industry. In this role, you'll own the end-to-end product experience for developers building agents on Temporal.

This is a high-leverage, strategic role. Agents are Temporal's fastest-growing use case, and you'll shape how we serve this market. You'll take vague, ambitious questions - "how do we help teams at companies like Cursor, Lovable, and Stripe build more capable agents, faster?" - and turn them into concrete product bets, roadmap investments, and shipped experiences that developers love.

What You'll Do
  • Own the product experience for developers building and running AI agents on Temporal
  • Shape the strategy for internal agent platforms - companies standing up centralized teams to empower their orgs to build agents on Temporal
  • Drive the multi-agent orchestration roadmap: agent-calls-agent patterns, handoff protocols, agent teams
  • Establish success metrics and developer feedback loops for agent platform adoption and satisfaction
  • Sequence the roadmap and frame investments across multiple work streams
  • Partner closely with AI engineering
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Developer Relations to ensure developers succeed end-to-end
What You'll Bring
  • 8+ years of product management experience
  • Deep AI and agent domain knowledge - you're building with frontier models daily and have an opinionated view of where the industry is headed
  • Developer empathy - deep understanding of how developers discover, adopt, and debug software
  • Platform product thinking - experience designing APIs, primitives, or developer platforms, not just end-user features
  • Experience shipping developer tools
  • Distributed systems literacy - able to reason fluently about state, execution, fault tolerance, and observability with engineering partners
  • Staff-level ownership - you take a vague strategic question and turn it into concrete product bets without heavy direction
  • Comfort shaping strategy in a fast-moving, ambiguous domain
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with agent architectures - orchestration, tool use, memory, branching
  • Temporal or workflow engine experience
  • Open-source community experience
Compensation
  • The estimated salary range for this role is $220,000 - $288,750 based on experience and location.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan.
