Staff Development/ Infection Control Nurse

As a Staff Development/ Infection Control Nurse at RegalCare at Holyoke, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care while promoting a culture of safety and excellence. Staff Development/ Infection Control Nurse is a key member of our team, responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided to our patients, as well as developing and implementing infection control strategies to prevent the spread of infections.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided to patients, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

  • Develop and implement infection control strategies to prevent the spread of infections, including developing and maintaining infection control policies and procedures.

  • Conduct infection control surveillance, investigating and reporting outbreaks, and developing contingency plans for infection control emergencies.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all staff are educated and trained on infection control practices and procedures.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, managed care organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
