Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and reliable Direct Care Worker to join our compassionate care team. In this role, you will provide critical hands-on support and personal assistance to individuals with disabilities, chronic conditions, or mobility limitations. Your primary goal is to help our clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while ensuring their daily safety and physical comfort. Key Responsibilities Personal Care Assistance: Support clients with vital Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, showering, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Mobility & Transfers: Aid clients with limited mobility during walking, stair climbing, and transferring from beds to chairs or wheelchairs. Meal Management: Assist with nutritional planning, grocery shopping, cooking, and feeding according to specific dietary restrictions. Health & Medication Monitoring: Administer prescribed medications, manage reminders, take vital signs, and immediately report health changes to medical supervisors. Household Maintenance: Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and keeping a safe living environment Transportation & Outings: Accompany and drive clients to necessary medical appointments, community volunteer activities, or recreational outings. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate daily care records, log behavioral updates, and protect client confidentiality under regulatory laws. Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate. Age Limit: Must be 18 years of age or older. Transportation: Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (strongly preferred/required). Screenings: Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screening.
