Job description

The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the foundation of community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Bus Drivers are responsible for assisting the safe transportation of program participants and staff under the supervision of the Executive Director.
Job Segments:

  • Routes include daily Mon-Fri morning /afternoon routes (7am- 9am, 4-6pm) as well as Saturday and Sunday routes available.
  • Drive assigned routes
  • Provide a healthy and safe camp environment and experience for all.
  • Follow all policies and procedures outlined by YMCA Camping Services.
Position Requirements:
  • Must be 21+ years old.
  • Must have previous experience in commercial (school or fleet) transportation.
  • Must show an ability to be on time and work assigned hours.
  • Proper driving license/endorsements (CDL, school bus)
  • Position requires new employee background check & drug testing.
Job Type: Part-time, avg 25-40 hours per week, June - Aug. If you would like more than 25 hrs, you can drive our weekend routes for additional hours.
Required experience:
  • Commercial driving experience (CDL): 1 year min, 3 years preferred. School bus endorsement
