Our outpatient office is focused on evidence-based practices, and our mission is to empower clients on their paths to recovery.

Work Environment

This opportunity primarily operates in a remote setting, allowing you to serve clients from the comfort of your home. Our innovative digital communication tools and virtual platforms ensure efficient client interactions and record-keeping. Despite the remote nature of this role, your collaboration with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers—will remain paramount to delivering comprehensive patient care. You will be supported by a robust administrative team to manage your scheduling and client documentation effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health conditions, identifying their needs and determining suitable treatment plans.
  • Design and implement personalized therapy programs aimed at addressing the unique challenges each client faces, ensuring a goal-oriented approach.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices, encouraging open communication and active participation among clients.
  • Collaborate closely with other treatment providers, including psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure a well-rounded, interdisciplinary approach to care.
  • Guide clients' families through the therapeutic process by providing education and support regarding mental health issues and treatment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines to uphold patient privacy and security.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LMFT will work with a varied clientele, including individuals, couples, and families facing a multitude of challenges such as relationship discord, communication issues, and family dynamics. Our clients often seek support for emotional distress, trauma, and life transitions. Your role is vital in providing a safe and empathetic space where clients can explore their feelings and work toward meaningful resolutions.

Qualifications
  • A valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is necessary for this position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for fostering trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • The ability to approach client experiences with empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude is crucial.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to ensure efficient case management and administrative tasks.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience providing therapy to individuals and families is preferred.
  • Experience in using teletherapy tools and adjusting therapeutic practices for a digital platform will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, or Emotionally Focused Therapy.
Compensation and Benefits
  • An annual salary within the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, reflective of your expertise and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off to promote your well-being.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuous education specifically in the field of addiction therapy.
  • A collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages ongoing training and mentorship opportunities.
  • Access to industry-leading research and resources related to mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

Heluna Behavioral Health is committed to the professional development of its staff. As an LMFT, you will have numerous opportunities for career advancement within our organization. We encourage our therapists to pursue continuing education, specialized trainings, and certifications in various therapeutic modalities, all aimed at enhancing your skills and furthering your career.
