Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced LDRP Registered Nurses for a 13-week travel assignment in Albany, Oregon.
This position is ideal for an RN with strong recent experience across the full Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum continuum. Candidates must be comfortable independently managing laboring patients, assisting with deliveries, interpreting fetal monitoring, and providing postpartum and newborn care.
This is a float-pool role, so nurses must be flexible, adaptable, and willing to work across multiple points of care based on staffing and patient needs.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent labor experience, an active Oregon RN license, required maternal-child certifications, and strong Epic proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
• Perform comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments.
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and uterine activity.
• Recognize abnormal fetal monitoring findings and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Independently manage patients in active labor.
• Support vaginal deliveries and other obstetric procedures.
• Provide immediate postpartum nursing care to mothers.
• Perform newborn assessments and provide routine newborn care.
• Monitor maternal and newborn conditions following delivery.
• Support breastfeeding, bonding, and patient education.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols.
• Respond appropriately to maternal, fetal, and neonatal emergencies.
• Participate in patient handoffs and interdisciplinary communication.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.
• Float to different maternal-child care areas and other approved points of care as required.
• Travel between assigned care locations when operationally necessary.
• Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and obstetric-care standards.
Required Experience
Candidates must have:
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Experience with labor management
• Experience providing delivery care
• Strong fetal monitoring experience
• Postpartum nursing experience
• Newborn care experience
• Ability to work independently in an LDRP environment
• Ability to float between appropriate maternal-child health areas
• Ability to travel between multiple care sites as required
• Proficiency using Epic
Required Licensure & Certifications
Candidates must have:
• Active, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse license
BLS - Healthcare Provider Level
ACLS - American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
NIHSS certification
All required credentials must remain current throughout the assignment.
Preferred Certifications

• Verification of a high school diploma or equivalent is required for applicable moderate-complexity testing requirements

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be necessary to meet travel requirements.
Schedule Requirements
Night Shift
Three 12-hour shifts per week
36 hours per week

• Weekend and holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs.
• Float assignments may vary throughout the contract.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced LDRP RN who is comfortable managing patients throughout the full maternity care continuum and can adapt quickly to different units and care settings.
You should have strong fetal monitoring skills, solid postpartum and newborn experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the flexibility required for a float-pool assignment.
