Position Summary 

The Data Analyst will support data analytics and predictive analytics in support of the USCENTCOM J6 Team. This role involves working with the Data Analytic Environment (DAE) and Data Analytic Services (DAS), focusing on data management, data-centricity, data infrastructure, and analytic development to help USCENTCOM become a data-centric organization. The Data Office team will deliver, operate, and maintain the end-to-end DAE infrastructure as well as provide a data catalog consisting of discovering, cataloging, accessing, managing, and governing geographically dispersed data, sources, metadata tags, and data analysis functions. This role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and providing actionable insights using data from multiple sources. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders to ensure data integrity and effective use of analytical tools like Power BI and Qlik, operating in an Agile environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, Qlik, and other analytics tools.
  • Conduct data modeling, data wrangling, and data cleansing to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Work within an Azure DevOps (ADO) environment to manage sprints and project deliverables related to data analytics.
  • Apply Scrum/Agile methodologies to execute data projects efficiently, ensuring delivery meets changing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the USCENTCOM J6 Executive Data Officer (XDO) and other stakeholders to align data analytics efforts with business goals.
  • Extract, process, and analyze data from multiple sources, identifying trends and insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality through governance practices such as cataloging, tagging, and validation.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to develop data pipelines to automate data integration, ensuring seamless access to accurate data.
  • Support predictive and advanced analytics initiatives, including AI/ML models.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure continuous collaboration and transparency across teams.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Education:

  • B.A./B.S. in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, 3-5 years of experience in data analytics.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Power BI, Qlik, and Excel for data reporting and visualization.
  • Experience with data modeling, data integration, and data governance practices.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) for managing work items and sprints.
  • Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies to manage data projects.
  • Strong ability to provide data-driven insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AI/ML models and advanced analytics techniques.
  • Understanding of DoD data strategy and data mesh/fabric architectures.
  • Experience working with military/government data environments.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) are a plus.
