Job description

Wellness Tech (Weekend Afternoons/Evenings)

Advanced Food Intolerance Labs (AFIL) — Overland Park/Leawood, KS (On-site)

$20/hour | Part-Time | Saturday–Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a fast-growing wellness company operating from a newly refurbished, state-of-the-art facility spanning more than 5,000 square feet. If fitness, wellness, and tracking progress excite you, this could be a great fit.

This weekend afternoon/evening role picks up where the morning shift leaves off, keeping our sample-processing operation moving through the back half of the day on Saturdays and Sundays. As the building quiets down, you'll be the person making sure everything continues to run accurately and efficiently behind the scenes.

This is a structured, detail-focused processing and data role that's ideal for someone who enjoys calm, independent work, has a genuine interest in wellness, and naturally likes tracking details and progress.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Essential Duties

- Process incoming hair samples through our digital customer portal

- Organize and label daily sample batches before, during, and after processing

- Escalate sample issues or concerns to customer service or management

- Ensure tests are completed accurately and within required turnaround times

Additional Tasks

- Maintain accuracy and function of lab technology and processing systems

- Update and correct customer account data to keep testing running smoothly

- Collaborate regularly with the customer service and fulfillment teams

WHAT THIS JOB IS ACTUALLY LIKE

- A seated, detail-focused role

- The work is repetitive but straightforward

- Accuracy matters — small mistakes affect real customers

- You'll work independently, with a quieter building and fewer interruptions as the day winds down

- A relaxed environment — you can listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks while you work

WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

- You have a genuine interest in fitness, wellness, and tracking progress

- You like calm, focused environments — especially later in the day

- You have strong attention to detail and naturally enjoy tracking details and progress

- You ask questions to fully understand rather than guessing

- You communicate clearly and with purpose

- You stay steady when challenges arise and proactively look for solutions rather than waiting for someone else to step in

- You take real ownership of your work, follow through, and are comfortable being in control of your work

WHO THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR

- You need constant stimulation or variety throughout the day

- You struggle with repetitive or detail-heavy tasks

- You need close supervision to stay on track

- You're not available for a Saturday–Sunday, 2 PM–10 PM schedule

PAY & SCHEDULE

- $20/hour to start

- Part-Time

- Saturday–Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS

- Data entry experience preferred, but not required

- Basic tech proficiency and comfort using computer systems

- High school diploma or equivalent

We're happy to train the right person with the right mindset.

WHY PEOPLE LIKE WORKING HERE

Work Style

- Listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks while you work

- Consistent weekend-evening schedule

- Independent workflow with minimal interruptions

- Caring, small, and supportive team

Team Culture & Rewards

- Small team, no corporate politics

- Laid-back environment with clear expectations

- Team lunches and recognition

- Performance rewards (Amazon vouchers, gift cards)

- Generous holiday bonuses

BENEFITS

- Pay review and raise opportunities after 6 months

- Performance rewards (Amazon gift cards, incentives, bonuses)

- Free wellness tests

- 50% off all supplements and wellness programs

- Staff referral program

- Growth opportunities

As a part-time position, this role is not eligible for health, dental, or vision insurance.
