Job description

Fiber Internet Sales Representative

Training Provided | Uncapped Commission | Growth Opportunities

Tired of working harder without earning more?

Vero is building a strong fiber internet sales team in Minnesota, and we’re looking for motivated people who want to develop real sales skills, control their income, and grow with a competitive team.

This is an in-person, door-to-door sales opportunity. You’ll travel to neighborhoods where fiber internet is available, speak with homeowners, explain their options, and help qualified customers sign up.

No previous fiber or door-to-door experience is required. We provide hands-on training, role-play, field coaching, and a clear sales process.

You won’t spend your first week sitting in a classroom. We teach you the basics, practice the pitch, and get you into the field with supervision as quickly as possible.

What You’ll Do

  • Travel to designated fiber service areas
  • Speak with homeowners face-to-face
  • Explain available fiber internet plans and benefits
  • Ask questions about their current internet service
  • Check address eligibility
  • Help qualified customers complete the signup process
  • Submit accurate sales information
  • Attend in-person training and field coaching
  • Represent Vero and our provider partners professionally

This is not a remote position. Reliable transportation is required.

What We Offer

  • Hands-on sales and product training
  • Supervised field experience beginning on day one
  • Ongoing coaching and role-play
  • Uncapped commission
  • Performance incentives when available
  • Opportunities to work with multiple internet providers
  • Potential travel opportunities
  • A path toward training, leadership, and management

Vero works with different internet service providers and fiber campaigns. The provider and offer may vary depending on the market.

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor position paid through commission.

There is no hourly wage or guaranteed salary.

Current compensation structure:

  • First 14 days: $75 per qualified sale
  • After the initial evaluation period: $200+ per qualified sale, depending on the provider, campaign, and pay plan
  • Additional incentives may be available

All representatives begin on the rookie pay scale.

The complete commission plan, payment schedule, sale qualification requirements, cancellation policies, and any chargeback terms will be explained before onboarding.

Actual earnings vary based on performance, qualified sales, customer installations, cancellations, and time spent in the field. No income amount is guaranteed.

Your First 14 Days

Your first two weeks are focused on training, field experience, and improvement.

We’ll teach you:

  • The fiber internet offer
  • The Vero pitch structure
  • How to approach homeowners
  • How to handle common objections
  • How to stay professional after rejection
  • How to move qualified customers through the signup process

We’ll evaluate:

  • Work ethic
  • Attendance and communication
  • Coachability
  • Effort in the field
  • Honesty with customers
  • Ability to handle rejection
  • Improvement from day to day
  • Reliability as a teammate

We can teach sales. We cannot make someone work hard, stay consistent, or keep going after hearing “no.”

Who Does Well Here?

You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Enjoy meeting new people
  • Want your effort to affect your income
  • Are competitive and goal-driven
  • Can handle rejection without taking it personally
  • Accept coaching without making excuses
  • Stay productive without constant supervision
  • Communicate honestly
  • Want the opportunity to grow into leadership

Experience in sales, retail, restaurants, customer service, athletics, canvassing, roofing, solar, pest control, telecommunications, alarms, or fundraising can be helpful—but it is not required.

Basic Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Working smartphone
  • Minimum availability of 30 hours per week
  • Comfortable working outdoors
  • Comfortable approaching homeowners
  • Willing to attend in-person training
  • Able to work afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays when needed
  • Willing to receive coaching and practice the pitch

This Position Is Not a Fit If:

  • You need guaranteed hourly pay
  • You are uncomfortable with commission
  • You do not want to work door to door
  • You are unwilling to practice or receive feedback
  • You give up quickly when results are slow
  • You cannot commit at least 30 hours per week
  • You do not have reliable transportation

We believe in being honest about the opportunity from the beginning.

Hiring Process

Qualified applicants will begin with an introductory interview with Johnston Boys, who oversees online recruiting and helps lead new-representative training.

Strong candidates may move forward to a second interview with Vero sales leadership.

Ready to Build Something Bigger?

You do not need to be an experienced salesperson on day one.

You do need to be dependable, coachable, willing to work, and ready to improve.

If you want an active opportunity where your effort matters and strong performance can lead to greater responsibility, apply today to be considered for the Vero fiber sales team.
