Job description

This position includes teaching 10th-12th grade high school Chemistry for 5 class periods per week per grade over 4 days and is ideal for candidates seeking a flexible teaching schedule. We are looking for an educator who can clearly explain complex scientific concepts in a way that is engaging, relatable, and accessible to high school students while helping students understand the practical applications of Chemistry in everyday life.

Candidates with backgrounds in chemistry, science, healthcare, medicine, engineering, research, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and teach 10th-12th grade Chemistry classes at a strong academic level

  • Clearly explain Chemistry concepts in an engaging and student-friendly manner

  • Develop meaningful hands-on labs and interactive learning experiences

  • Help students connect classroom learning to real-world applications

  • Maintain effective classroom management

  • Grade assignments, assessments, and labs in a timely manner

  • Communicate professionally with administration and staff

  • Foster a positive, supportive, and academically rigorous classroom environment

Qualifications
  • Background in Chemistry, science, healthcare, medicine, engineering, or related field required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Teaching experience preferred but not required

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to engage and motivate high school students

  • Passion for making science practical, interactive, and meaningful
