Their responsibilities include designing algorithms, writing code for AI applications, and collaborating with data scientists to implement machine learning models. These programmers may focus on tasks such as natural language processing, computer vision, or data analysis, depending on the company's needs. Afternoon AI Programmers are often employed in industries like tech, finance, healthcare, and more, where AI solutions are in demand. This role requires strong programming skills, familiarity with AI frameworks, and an understanding of data structures and algorithms.

How much do AI programmers get paid?

AI programmers typically earn between $80,000 and $150,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and industry. Entry-level positions may start around $70,000, while senior roles with specialized skills in machine learning and deep learning can exceed $150,000.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Afternoon AI Programmer, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Afternoon AI Programmer, you need strong programming skills in languages such as Python or Java, a solid understanding of machine learning concepts, and typically a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with AI frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch and experience with version control systems such as Git are commonly required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and time management are important soft skills for collaborating with teams and meeting project deadlines. These skills and qualities are crucial for developing reliable AI solutions that align with organizational goals and adapt to evolving technological needs.

Which 3 jobs will survive AI?

For an Afternoon AI Programmer, roles that require complex problem-solving, creativity, and human judgment are likely to persist, such as software development, AI system design, and data analysis. These jobs often involve oversight, ethical considerations, and adapting to new technologies, making them less susceptible to automation. Skills in critical thinking and continuous learning will remain valuable in these fields.

What's the easiest AI job to get?

Entry-level AI programming roles, such as junior AI developer or AI intern, are generally the easiest to obtain. These positions often require foundational knowledge of programming languages like Python, basic understanding of machine learning concepts, and familiarity with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. Building a strong portfolio with projects and gaining relevant certifications can also improve chances of entry into these roles.

How do Afternoon AI Programmers typically collaborate with other team members during their shift?

Afternoon AI Programmers often work closely with data scientists, product managers, and fellow developers to ensure that AI models and algorithms are integrated smoothly into applications. Collaboration usually happens through daily stand-up meetings, code reviews, and shared documentation, even if some team members are on different shifts. Effective communication and clear handovers are essential to maintain project continuity and resolve issues quickly. This collaborative environment allows programmers to learn from peers and contribute to cross-functional projects, enhancing both individual and team performance.

What is a $900,000 AI job?

A $900,000 AI job typically refers to high-level roles such as senior AI researchers, machine learning executives, or specialized AI consultants earning total compensation that includes salary, bonuses, and stock options. Job description

Software Developer — AI-Native Builder

Repeatable AI · North Myrtle Beach, SC · Local + Flexible

Are you the developer who's faster with AI than most teams are without it?

You taught yourself to ship real software with Claude Code or the Codex CLI. You don't fight the tools — you run them. But you're stuck somewhere that treats AI coding like a gimmick, hands you legacy-maintenance tickets, and acts like the last decade of best practices is the final word. The most interesting work in software is happening on a screen somewhere else, while your days go to patching things you didn't build.

Imagine a Monday where the backlog is products people actually use — a productivity-measurement platform, an ROI dashboard, internal tools for real enterprise clients. You spin up an agentic build loop, ship a feature by lunch, and walk it to the founder's desk that afternoon for a live review. No layers. No politics. Nobody telling you to slow down. The thing you're best at is the thing you're paid to do all day.

About the role

Repeatable AI builds AI-productivity products for enterprise clients across insurance, manufacturing, automotive, and fintech. We're founder-led, fast-moving, and we treat AI coding tools as core infrastructure — not a novelty. You'll work directly with a CEO who personally ships production code with these exact tools, on products including our Deliverable Creation Engine, ROI Tracking Platform, and ROI Flow application. Developers tired of maintenance work find their footing here, shipping end-to-end with the AI-native workflows they've already mastered.

How this job is different from the others you're reading

What they lead with

--Typical Posting Salary band and a stack checklist

--This role The work itself, and a founder who builds beside you

The interview

--Typical Posting Unpaid take-home, then a 4–5 round gauntlet

--This role One paid 90-minute live build — the actual job, with us

What they reward

--Typical Posting Years served, title, résumé length

--This role What you can ship this week

AI tooling

--Typical Posting "Exposure to Cursor/Copilot a plus"

--This role The entire point of the role

The application

--Typical Posting Cover letter full of adjectives

--This role One link to something you built

Most AI-developer listings compete on cash and remote flexibility — and if that's all you want, larger companies will outbid us. We compete on something they can't offer: real ownership, a founder in the room, and an interview that pays you to do the work instead of grading you in the dark.

Your first 90 days

  • Days 1–30 (full-time, in-office): Onboard onto our products and codebase, pair with the team, ship your first production feature, establish your build workflow.
  • Days 31–60: Own a feature area on ROI Flow or the DCE platform. Run your own AI-assisted build loops against the backlog with light review.
  • Days 61–90: Ship independently — requirement to deployed feature — and explain every line of what you shipped.

What you must bring

  • Provable, current fluency with Claude Code or the OpenAI Codex CLI (or directly comparable agentic tools). "Provable" means a public GitHub, a portfolio, or a live build in front of us.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on coding. Intentionally not a senior role. We want current capability, not a long résumé.
  • The ability to read, debug, and fix code without AI. Part of the interview is an AI-disabled round where you explain and repair existing code. Fluency with the tool isn't enough — you must understand what it produces.
  • Adaptability. Today's tool isn't tomorrow's. We hire for how you work with agentic AI, using your named tools as the evidence.

Location & schedule

This is a local position with a flexible, negotiable schedule. You must live within commuting distance of North Myrtle Beach and be able to come into the office when it matters.

  • First 30 days: full-time, in-office. Non-negotiable for onboarding. Start dates are flexible — if you're giving notice somewhere, tell us, we'll work with you.
  • After 30 days: we set a rhythm that fits the work and fits you. Most weeks that means a day or so in-office for live reviews and build sessions, the rest remote — but the exact cadence is a conversation, not a mandate. We care what you ship, not where you sit.

You must live within commuting distance. We're prioritizing Myrtle Beach, Conway, Little River, North Myrtle Beach, Grand Strand and the Wilmington area (NC)— and within roughly 60 miles of 3210 Airport Boulevard, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582: Conway, Loris, Aynor, Georgetown, Murrells Inlet, Florence, and Marion (SC); and Shallotte, Southport, Leland, and the greater Wilmington area (NC). Outside this radius, you're not eligible for this posting.

Compensation

$70,000 – $95,000 base, set by demonstrated AI-coding capability. Strong candidates typically land in $78,000–$85,000. We pay for what you can build, not for years served — show us throughput and the number moves up.

How to apply

No cover letter. Send one thing: a link to something you built with AI tooling — a repo, a deployed app, a demo. If we like it, your interview is a paid 90-minute live build session where you do the real work of the job, with us, in real time. You'll know exactly what working here feels like before you ever commit. No take-home graded into the void. No five-round gauntlet.

If you're already living in the future of how software gets built — and you're tired of being the only one in the room who knows it — this is your seat.
