Job description

YOUTHPLACES (YP) is a network of afterschool programs for teens in underserved neighborhoods. The Site Coach is responsible for the day-to-day operations at the program site and implements positive youth development activites, including, but not limited to, academic enrichment, case management, social & emotional learning, civic engagement and leadership.The Site Coordinator is responsible for promoting a culutre of collaboration, active engagement, accountability, and leadership attainment at their site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assures site is open and safe during specified hours each day for youth participants.
  • Responsible for daily attendance, collecting enrollment packets, ensuring case notes are properly logged, and reporting on youth participation & program performance data along with completion of site operation goals.
  • Provide direct supervision of all staff and volunteers assigned to site and establish and maintain a collaborative, accountable, and results driven culture between all YP staff at their site.
  • Plan & implement after school / out of school time positive youth development programs in accordance with YouthPlaces’ philosophy and program design.
  • Serves as main point of contact for parents, guardians, and community members.
  • Works with your Direct Supervisor, to order supplies & materials for site in accordance with YP’s procedures and budget.
  • Assures equipment and facilities are in good working order, clean, and well maintained.
  • Collaborates with other partners and service providers within the facility, whenever possible.
  • Works with your Direct Supervisor to order supplies and materials for sites and to ensure site is properly resourced.
  • Education/Experience & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years professional experience in youth
  • programming; a combianation of some college/post-secondary education and experience will be considered as well.

  • Act 33 & 34 Clearances or abiility to obtain these clearances before first day of employment.
  • Possess working knowledge of utilizing an online database, and general proficiency in all productiviry software packages (such as Microsoft Office & Google suite applications).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Combination of comparable skills, education, and experience may be considered.
