For the 2026-2027 School Year | Monday-Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm | $18.00-$18.50

What is needed for this job:

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or human services and two years of experience with children.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills.
  • Possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence.
  • Ability to pass all relevant clerances

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Planning of the curriculum.
  • Prepare and implement daily age/developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Oversee the safety and location of all the youth in your group.
  • Actively participate with the youth in all activities. Ensure proper clean up and maintenance of all materials.
  • Maintain sensitivity and patience with youth and parents. Always maintain confidentiality.
  • Notify the site director of any personal or programmatic problems and suggestions.  Maintain paperwork (curriculum, lesson plans, parent communication, and incident reports).
  • Attend all necessary YMCA/DPW/DHS/OST trainings.
  • Attend Staff Meetings/Team Teaching Meetings/Back to School Nights.
  • Participate as a YMCA team member and contribute to the attainment of the YMCA mission.
  • Know the mission and be able to apply it to your job responsibilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
