Afterschool Program Positions – Hiring Immediately!

Amergis is partnering with one of San Diego County's premier afterschool program providers to support multiple school sites throughout North County. We are currently seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and student-centered individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and adolescents.

Whether you're interested in education, youth development, special education, or behavioral support, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience while positively impacting students in a school-based setting.

Position Available: Inclusion Aide (Behavior Technician)

As an Inclusion Aide, you will provide individualized support to students with behavioral, developmental, or special needs within an afterschool program setting. You will work collaboratively with site supervisors, program leaders, and school staff to help students participate successfully in daily activities while promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students requiring additional assistance
  • Implement behavioral support strategies and encourage positive social interactions
  • Assist students in participating in recreational, educational, and enrichment activities
  • Collaborate with program staff to foster an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Support student safety, engagement, and overall program success
  • Maintain professionalism and positive communication with staff, students, and families
Minimum Qualifications

All candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 48 completed college units
  • Current in-person BLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
  • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children in schools, camps, childcare centers, tutoring programs, recreational programs, or similar settings
  • Experience supporting individuals with behavioral or developmental needs
  • Passion for education, youth mentorship, and student success
Schedule
  • Monday-Friday
  • Typical afterschool hours: 1:30 PM - 6:00 PM
