Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and engaging After School Program Instructor to join our team. The instructor will provide a safe, supportive, and fun environment for elementary school students during after-school hours (3-6 pm).
The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is energetic and creative, and can lead age-appropriate activities while maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage students during the after-school program.
  • Plan and lead educational, recreational, arts and science enrichment activities.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students feel safe and encouraged.
  • Maintain appropriate classroom and behavior-management expectations.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, teachers, and program staff.
  • Monitor student safety and follow all program policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and organize materials and activity areas.
  • Participate in special events, themed activities, and program projects.
  • Complete required attendance, incident, and other program documentation.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with children is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in education, child development, recreation, or a related field is a plus.
