The Role Responsibilities
Candidates will be responsible for the planning, delivery and execution of math curriculum. Candidates will also participate in collaborative planning with colleagues, analyzing data, creating common formative and summative assessments along with plans of action for students that struggle. Successful candidates will bring innovative approaches that meaningfully engage students in the CPM math curriculum under a Thinking Classroom methodology. SCHS math classrooms are active spaces with small group work performed daily with collaborative discussions forming the bedrock for student engagement.
Role Requirements
As the ideal candidate, you will have an Bachelor's degree in a field related to the position, along with a valid state teaching license appropriate for high school math instruction. You should be confident in using the learning standards, managing classroom routines, and monitoring student progress. You will utilize PBIS to create preventions for students behaviors, and facilitate communications with families, staff, and administrators to address behavior issues. You have a strong passion for equipping young adults with the skills and confidence they need for lifelong success.
