Description
Under the clinical supervision of the Supervising Dentist and organizational management of the Dental Office Manager, the Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing exceptional preventative oral healthcare for patients of Affinity Health Center.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare instrument trays and operatory area for patient care and clean operatory area in between patient care
  • Contribute to clinic instrument sterilization and equipment maintenance as well as other clinic team duties
  • Perform oral health assessments, including reviewing medical history, dental charting, and periodontal screening
  • Provide preventative dental care including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
  • Take and process both plain film and digital dental radiographs
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and overall dental health
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Adhere to infection control and OSHA regulations
  • Adhere to HIPAA
  • Collaborate with dentists and other dental team members to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Remain up to date on SC licensure and certification requirements
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities as nominated
  • Participate in AHC Performance Management System
  • Serve AHC patients with compassion, curiosity and courage
  • Other duties as assigned
Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000 annually with a sign-on bonus of $1500.00, based on qualification and experience.

Required Qualifications:
  • SC State Dental Hygienist Licensure
  • SC Radiology Safety Certification
  • Experience in scaling and root planing
  • At least 2 years of dental practice as a dental hygienist
  • Experience with electronic health records
  • Experience exposing and processing X-rays
  • Reliable Transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English
