Job description

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Quality Technician to support quality assurance activities by maintaining quality records, assisting with inspections and compliance efforts, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. In this role, you will partner with Quality Engineers, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production teams to ensure products meet customer, engineering, regulatory, and internal quality requirements while supporting compliance with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 7:30a-4:00p

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support Quality Engineers with quality documentation, including concessions, deviation requests, first piece approvals, process qualifications, and customer-required submissions
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documents for accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain quality records in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with the development and revision of work instructions, inspection plans, procedures, and quality system documentation
  • Support internal audits and compliance assessments
  • Document and track nonconformances, corrective actions, and preventive actions
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Verify manufacturing and quality documentation prior to product shipment
  • Partner with production teams to communicate quality requirements and resolve documentation issues
  • Maintain calibration records and support document control activities
  • Assist with customer, supplier, regulatory, and certification audit preparation
  • Utilize ERP, quality management, and document control systems to maintain accurate records and traceability
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and defect reduction
  • Follow all company safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements

 

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in manufacturing, quality, inspection, or a related technical environment
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, quality records, and customer requirements
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications

Nice to Have

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • One to three (1-3) years of quality experience in aerospace, machining, casting, or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Experience with nonconformance reporting, corrective actions, and root cause investigations
  • Experience with ERP, quality management, or document control systems
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality requirements and regulatory standards

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing and office environment
  • Regular interaction with production, inspection, and engineering teams on the shop floor
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and use a computer for extended periods
  • May be required to lift and carry materials, files, or equipment consistent with the position
  • Frequent use of standard office equipment and manufacturing inspection tools
  • Must be able to wear required PPE when working in production areas
  • May be exposed to noise, heat, moving equipment, and other typical manufacturing conditions
  • Ability to visually inspect documents, components, and quality records with a high level of accuracy
