Volt is immediately hiring for Quality Control Inspectors in Manchester, CT.
As a Quality Control Inspector you will:
  • Performs visual inspection of electronic card and sub-assemblies, and systems or units to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
  • Utilizes gages, templates and other manufacturing aids to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
  • Ensures that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected.
  • Enters and upload all quality data in or from the appropriate electronic or manual systems.
  • Notifies the appropriate personnel (Production Supervisor, Line Lead, Quality Engineer) if unusual product defects are identified or if process yields fall below acceptable levels.
  • Tag any non-conforming product to visual segregate from finish good product.
  • Provides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified.
  • Review non-conforming product returning from customer and keep insolated from regular finish good product.
  • Accurately completes all administrative activities associated with quality inspection.
  • Performs process audits and assists manufacturing with the interpretation of the quality and workmanship standards.
  • Assists with the disposition of all non-conforming materials/product.
  • Update system when the material gets loaded and ship to internal sites.

This is a full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Ability to manage computer to capture information on excel files or date software collections.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, leads and supervisors of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Pay Rate: $19.00- $20.00 per hour
