Job Description
The Mechanical Engineering Intern will be responsible for carrying out various mechanical design, analysis, and testing tasks as assigned for IRAD or other projects using available software engineering design and analysis tools as well as test equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Utilize CREO CAD design software
  • Utilize Ansys analysis software
  • Utilize test equipment as necessary

Job Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering coursework including thermal analysis and design
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision

Salary Range: The base salary range for this position is $20-$25/hour. This range reflects the compensation Fibertek reasonably expects to offer for this role. Placement within the range will depend on factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's experience, education and training, key skills, and relevant market and business considerations.
