Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Precision Aerospace Machinist to join our Landing Gear Repair team. This is not a production machining position—every project presents unique repair challenges requiring craftsmanship, problem solving, and attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform precision machining of aircraft landing gear components.
  • Perform precision ID and OD grinding to aerospace tolerances.
  • Operate manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, horizontal boring mills, surface grinders, and honing equipment.
  • Read engineering drawings, repair manuals, and work instructions.
  • Inspect finished work using precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain FAA-quality workmanship and a safe, organized work area.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of manual machining experience preferred.
  • Extensive ID/OD grinding experience required.
  • Blueprint reading and close-tolerance machining experience.
  • Experience with chrome-plated surfaces and aerospace alloys.
  • Proficient with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges.
  • FAA Part 145 or aerospace experience is a plus.
  • Must provide personal machinist tools.
