Job Summary

General Machinist responsible for operating manual machining equipment, lathes, mills, grinders, and specialty shop machines to repair and manufacture aerospace components while maintaining precision, tolerances, and production quality.

Key Responsibilities (Mobile-Friendly)

• Operate horizontal and vertical lathes
• Operate milling and grinding machines
• Work with VTLs, Jig Bores, and Bridgeports
• Use drill presses and special shop equipment
• Read blueprints, travelers, and manuals
• Determine dimensions and tolerances
• Measure, mark, and scribe materials
• Set up machines and machining sequences
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy
• Support shop operations and repairs
