Job Description โ€“ Structures Design Engineer (737 Airframe)

The BCA Structures 737 Airframe organization is seeking experienced Structures Design Engineers to support production activities at the Renton, WA location. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting the 737 program and strong knowledge of aircraft structural design, CATIA V5, and Boeing design tools and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support structural design activities for the 737 Airframe program.

  • Develop and modify aircraft structural designs using CATIA V5.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional engineering and production teams.

  • Provide technical solutions to structural design and production issues.

  • Support engineering documentation, design changes, and production requirements.

  • Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to meet program objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Material Sciences, or related Engineering field.

  • 8+ years of related structural design experience.

  • Experience with CATIA V5 and Boeing design tools/processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on the 737 Structures program.

  • Familiarity with DCCS, ETAC, and PDM systems.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and identify project needs with minimal guidance.

  • Ability to provide technical solutions for a broad range of engineering challenges.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree with 5+ years of related experience, Masterโ€™s degree with 3+ years, or PhD with related experience.

  • Degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field.

  • ABET accreditation preferred but not required.
