What is an Aerial Instructor job?

An Aerial Instructor teaches students how to perform aerial arts, such as aerial silks, hoop (lyra), or trapeze, in a safe and controlled environment. They guide students through techniques, conditioning exercises, and choreography while ensuring proper form and injury prevention. Instructors may work with beginners, advanced performers, or fitness enthusiasts. Their responsibilities include spotting students, developing lesson plans, and maintaining equipment safety.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Aerial Instructor position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Aerial Instructor, you need advanced skills in aerial arts (such as silks, hoop, or trapeze), strong instructional abilities, and often a relevant certification in aerial fitness or safety. Familiarity with equipment inspection, rigging systems, and safety protocols is crucial, and instructors may use specialized platforms for scheduling and progress tracking.
