Job description

AEM (Advanced Environmental Monitoring) is the global leader in innovative mission critical weather, wildfire and water monitoring and intelligence solutions. We aim to be the world's essential source for environmental insights - enabling decisive action and positive outcomes for our customers and their constituents. Our family of innovators offers world-class hydrometeorological technologies and services, including sensors, dataloggers, telemetry, and advanced analytics and software. Our technology and services empower the communities and organizations to survive - and thrive - in the face of escalating environmental risks.
We're hiring a Senior Content Marketing Manager to own content and organic social as core growth engines for AEM. The role carries primary responsibility for brand awareness and social media, along with strategic ownership of SEO and answer engine optimization (AEO), including target keyword and question strategy.
This is a hands-on role for someone who uses AI tools as part of their daily workflow to produce more high-quality content, faster. We're looking for someone who works this way already and wants to keep developing it.
Job Responsibilities:
Content strategy and production
  • Own AEM's content strategy and editorial calendar to drive brand awareness and demand generation programs.
  • Produce and manage a high-volume, high-quality content pipeline, using AI tools throughout ideation, drafting, editing, and repurposing, while maintaining AEM's editorial standards and brand voice.
  • Build a repeatable system for turning one core asset (a report, a customer story, a product update) into multiple formats and channels.
  • Partner with product marketing, sales, and subject matter experts to translate technical and scientific material into content that resonates with government and enterprise buyers.

Brand awareness and organic social
  • Own organic social media as a primary channel for driving awareness and positioning of AEM.
  • Lead video content strategy built for organic reach, using formats that don't require a production budget (e.g. employee- and expert-led video, screen recordings, repurposed interviews).
  • Apply social SEO practices, optimizing content for search and discovery within social platforms themselves, not only traditional web search.
  • Grow AEM's voice and presence across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms and evaluate emerging channels worth testing.
  • Define and track awareness, engagement, pipeline-influence metrics, and report on business impact.

SEO and AEO
  • Own target keyword and question strategy for SEO and answer engine optimization (AEO), including topic research and content gap analysis.
  • Partner with the broader marketing team on execution across onsite content optimization and offsite activity, including Reddit and other community channels.
  • Monitor how AEM and competitors are represented in organic search and AI-generated answers and adjust strategy accordingly.

AI-forward operations
  • Build and continuously improve an AI-assisted content workflow, including prompting, tooling, and quality control, to increase content volume and quality.
  • Stay current on AI content and SEO/AEO tooling and bring recommendations back to the marketing team.
  • Maintain quality and fact-checking standards for content covering technical and scientific topics.

This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of the Employer.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of B2B content marketing experience, with ownership of a content calendar and measurable results.
  • Experience running organic social media as a growth or awareness channel.
  • Working SEO expertise, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and content-led organic growth. AEO or LLM-visibility experience is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with offsite, community-based channels like Reddit, and judgment for engaging authentically.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for writing, editing, research, image, or video as part of a daily content workflow.
  • Comfortable producing lightweight video content without a production team, and knows how to get authentic, credible video out of internal experts.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with judgment to adapt tone and depth for technical, government, and enterprise audiences. Proficiency for analyzing datasets for inclusion into content.
  • Public sector experience a plus.

Additional Information:
  • This is a remote opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the continental United States
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.

US Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability & 401k match of up to 3%.
US Compensation Range: A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000/year. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
