Job description

Advertising Manager

Neato is a 2P eCommerce accelerator. We buy inventory from established CPG brands, become their seller of record, and run Amazon, TikTok Shop, Walmart, and DTC end to end from a single inventory pool. Partner brands include illy, Earth Animal, Wiley Wallaby, Rocketbook. We're a $53M business targeting $100M in 2026 with a $25M raise behind us.

We need a generalist marketing operator. Not a channel specialist. Not a coordinator with a senior title. The person the VP of Marketing trusts to run the function when he's on a plane.

What This Role Actually Is

You own end-to-end advertising strategy across Neato's multi-brand portfolio, with Amazon as the key focus and TikTok Shop and Walmart Connect as growing channels. You set the objectives, budgets, and guardrails; the overseas Advertising Strategist executes within them under your direct management. You're the primary advertising point of contact for Senior Brand Managers and senior leadership, and the person who turns performance data into clear, jargon-free direction proactively, without waiting to be asked.

What You'll Own

Account Strategy, Campaign Ownership & Channel Expansion

  • Own end-to-end advertising strategy across Amazon (key focus), TikTok Shop, and Walmart Connect objectives, budget allocation, ACOS/TACOS targets, and bid strategy per account, including scale/kill decisions on TikTok Shop (Spark Ads, VSA, GMV Max) and Walmart Connect (Sponsored Search, Sponsored Brands, DSP as it comes online)
  • Configure and manage Xnurta campaign settings, and build/maintain campaign structures across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, Sponsored Brand Video, Walmart Sponsored Search, and TikTok Shop paid formats
  • Set optimization rules, thresholds, and guardrails so the overseas Advertising Strategist executes within clear parameters
  • Develop keyword strategy per brand core targets, negative keyword frameworks, search term harvesting and translate learnings across channels: what transfers from Amazon, what needs a channel-specific approach, where the halo effect shows up
  • Lead quarterly strategic planning: review prior period, identify shifts, set goals, build the go-forward roadmap

Oversight & Team Leadership

  • Serve as direct manager of the overseas Advertising Strategist assign daily/weekly/monthly tasks within established SOPs and verify completion
  • Run regular check-ins (daily async + weekly live sync); review reports, flag discrepancies, provide structured feedback
  • Escalate performance or reliability concerns to the Director with documented context

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

  • Primary advertising point of contact for Senior Brand Managers and senior leadership; lead brand review meetings with confidence and field real-time questions with data-backed answers
  • Translate performance into clear, jargon-free summaries what's working, what isn't, why it matters, what happens next pushing insights proactively rather than waiting to be asked
  • Own weekly and monthly performance reports per brand across all channels: spend, ACOS/ROAS/TACOS, attributed sales, top/bottom performers, strategic recommendations
  • Run monthly campaign audits (structure, keyword health, budget pacing, placements, competitive positioning) using Xnurta, Amazon Brand Analytics, Helium 10, and Data Dive
  • Maintain a living opportunity log per brand and track TACOS alongside ACOS to capture halo effect on organic sales
  • Assist in building out key systems and SOPs for the department

Creative Collaboration & Product Launch Support

  • Identify creative asset needs across the portfolio and submit clear briefs to the Creative team with campaign context, audience, objective, and deadline
  • Review new assets pre-deployment and monitor performance post-launch, escalating underperformers with specific feedback
  • Translate launch briefs into complete advertising plans across all channels structure, keyword strategy, budget, ACOS target, timeline
  • Oversee the first 4 weeks closely with daily performance review, real-time adjustments, and immediate escalation of launch-threatening issues; deliver a 30-day post-launch report with go-forward recommendations

Who Thrives Here

  • 35 years hands-on Amazon Sponsored Ads management (Sponsored Products, Brands, Display) across a multi-brand or multi-account portfolio, ideally in a 3P/2P seller or brand aggregator environment
  • Deep fluency in Amazon advertising metrics (ACOS, ROAS, TACOS, CTR, CVR, CPC, impression share, placement performance, NTB metrics) and advanced concepts like dayparting, placement multipliers, AMC, bid-by-placement, and defensive vs. offensive keyword strategy
  • Proficiency with an Amazon ad management platform Xnurta strongly preferred; deep experience with Pacvue, Perpetua, Quartile, or Teikametrics considered
  • Strong written and verbal communication able to translate performance to non-technical stakeholders in plain, business-focused language, with concise, insight-led reporting
  • Proactive, ownership-oriented manages junior team members or execution partners and drives forward without waiting to be directed
