Job description

Amazon Advertising is seeking a strategic finance leader to own pricing and yield strategy across our Video, Display, Audio and Devices product portfolio. This individual will drive the commercial and analytical framework that maximizes revenue quality and long‑term yield across a rapidly evolving advertising business. The role requires a data‑driven approach to pricing strategy — from rate card architecture and auction dynamics to inventory valuation, discounting frameworks, and the trade‑offs between volume, price, and advertiser value. You will build and lead a team of finance analysts, partnering closely with Product and Sales leadership to shape pricing decisions that balance short‑term revenue with sustainable, long‑term marketplace health. This is a unique opportunity to influence the trajectory of Amazon Ads' DVA business through rigorous financial modeling, pricing governance, and yield optimization at scale.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own end‑to‑end pricing and yield strategy for DVA products, including rate structures, floor pricing, discounting policies, and auction/inventory dynamics
  • Build and lead a team of finance analysts, setting priorities, developing talent, and raising the bar on analytical rigor
  • Partner with Product, Sales, Business Development, leadership to align pricing decisions with business strategy and advertiser experience
  • Develop financial models and frameworks to quantify the yield impact of pricing changes, new product launches, and packaging/bundling decisions
  • Establish consistent, scalable frameworks for evaluating pricing trade‑offs across products, geographies, and advertiser segments
  • Create and maintain reporting and mechanisms (MBRs/QBRs) that give leadership clear visibility into pricing performance, yield trends, and revenue quality
  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve monetization efficiency without compromising long‑term marketplace or advertiser trust
  • Influence roadmap and product decisions by bringing a financial and yield‑based point of view to cross‑functional planning
A day in the life

You’ll split your time between deep‑dive financial modeling, leadership of your analyst team, and cross‑functional strategy conversations with Product and Sales leaders. One day might involve presenting a pricing recommendation to senior leadership backed by yield elasticity analysis; the next, coaching an analyst through a complex revenue model or working with Product to assess the monetization impact of a new ad format. You’ll be a trusted advisor whose analytical judgment directly shapes commercial decisions across the DVA business.

Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of senior leadership work in sales operations, sales strategy, finance, business development, or other related fields experience

  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis, or experience or equivalent experience in finance roles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within a high‑growth, technology company
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
