Reporting to the VP, Creative Services and focusing on thinking, insight and strategy, the AVP, Creative Strategy will serve as an integral part of the Creative Services team, ensuring that every creative idea is rooted in insight, aligned with brand and capable of driving real business impact. They will turn business objectives into compelling creative direction, ensuring campaigns are strategically sound, creatively strong and aligned with the brand’s long-term vision.

In this role you will:

  • Lead a team of creative ideators and copywriters from concept development to presentation targeting both internal and external audiences
  • Define creative direction based on research, data and audience insight
  • Develop and connect big ideas with clear goals and turn insight into direction for various functional teams, including design, video, copy and events
  • Translate business and brand goals into creative concepts and pitch to a variety of HCA Healthcare audiences
  • Guide campaigns and concepts to create intentional and consistent results, including brand campaigns, communications initiatives and experiential activations
  • Align functional teams (copy, design, video, events) around a single idea
  • Create and lead the vision and planning for the creative strategy department

Requirements:

  • Must provide a digital portfolio of work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, creative development or similar fields.
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role within an advertising agency, creative studio, production company, in-house marketing team or similar entities.
  • 5+ years of management and mentoring experience
  • Extensive history of creative strategy and ideation for a wide variety of marketing initiatives, including brand and consumer campaigns, internal communications, executive events, experiential, environmental and interactive activations and more.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of creative production, including video, photo, graphic design and motion graphics
  • Proven experience in leading creative teams for large-scale projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a flair for storytelling and brand development.
  • Working knowledge of production and collaboration applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, Frame.io, Figma, Workfront and similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, as well as project management applications such as Workfront.
