Job Summary
Aurex is seeking an experienced Advanced Systems Engineer specializing in Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Weapon System Performance to join our mission-driven team. In this role, you will own the analysis, design, and implementation of complex systems that directly impact weapon performance. Key Responsibilities
  • System Design & Implementation: Design, develop, and deploy advanced architectural solutions and technical systems related to missile defense weapon performance.
  • Modeling & Simulation: Analyze and rigorously evaluate end-to-end weapon system performance using advanced high-fidelity modeling and simulation tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with multi-disciplinary engineering and operations teams to verify system requirements are flawlessly executed from whiteboard to field.
  • Performance Optimization: Proactively identify performance shortfalls, analyze anomalies, and engineer optimization techniques to maximize system capabilities.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing actionable technical insights and briefings to internal engineering leadership and external government stakeholders.
  • Technology Modernization: Stay at the forefront of defense industry advancements, actively incorporating emergent weapon system technologies into our baseline architectures.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive professional systems engineering experience, with a dedicated focus on weapon system performance and analysis.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Security Clearance: Active SECRET clearance required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in modern aerospace modeling and simulation frameworks, performance assessment metrics, and system optimization methodologies.
  • Core Skills: Exceptional analytical problem-solving capabilities alongside strong written and verbal communication skills.

The salary range for this role is $110,000-$125,000 annually.
